Special Projects It seems that most businesses that are active in their respective industries have something called Special Projects operating in some corner of the firm. Here at Merz-Huber Co., our special projects department operates both as a marketing department and as the risk evaluation/consulting arm for larger accounts or those businesses whose insurance needs may be more exotic than ususal.
This department is staffed by individuals with many years in the business and who are familiar with risk retention programs, large loss fund and high dedutible programs, as well as financing programs by way of examples.
On the following pages, you can see some of our current projects which include joint ventures, builders risk/wrap-ups, merger & acquisitions and group/association programs including affinity programs. These programs span all product lines. For example, a large group of homeowners may constitute an association, thus we may be able to provide a homeowner's insurance program for them; or a group of small businesses on main street America may ban together as a purchasing group thus enabling the use of program insurance coverage. It really depends on what the customer wants to accomplish - call us, we are listening. |
